Repentance and Forgiveness

Have you ever done something that you later regretted doing? I am sure we all have. The Most High has granted us two things, repentance and forgiveness. We first have to seek the throne of The Most High and repent of our deeds. Then we ask for forgiveness. We are allotted forgiveness because of the sacrifice of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ who bare all of our sins on the cross. Because of this great grace, he asks us to forgive one another as you have been forgiven. Saint Peter once questions how often should we forgive our neighbor. In Matthew it reads, Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. What Jesus meant by this is that we should forgive as often as a neighbor commits a trespass against you. Ephesians put it this way,  Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. So we see here that we forgive because we first were forgiven by God himself, The Good Master. We should live this life as if we were already in the kingdom. In the kingdom, there is no knowledge of sin. So we should not hold our brothers and sisters to a fault for we all were under law at one point before The Messiah delivered us unto grace. So why behold the mute that is in thine brothren eye, and not consider that it is no more due to the precious blood of Jesus. Jesus even says those that forgive a lot are loved a lot. In the scripture it says, Therefore I say unto thee, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.” People who have loving hearts meet sinners right where they are and are quick to forgive.
